How can we help?

Answers to the questions we hear most, from setting up your first connection to managing your plan and staying private. Still stuck? Our team is one email away.

Getting started
What is a VPN?

A VPN, or virtual private network, creates an encrypted tunnel between your device and the internet. It hides your real IP address and stops your network, your internet provider and anyone on the same Wi-Fi from seeing what you do online. In short, it keeps your connection private on any network, whether that's home, the office or open public Wi-Fi.

What is KEN VPN?

KEN VPN is a privacy-first VPN with a global pool of 40 servers across 24 countries. It uses modern WireGuard-based encryption, runs a strict no-logs policy, and includes features like ad blocking, split tunnelling, a kill switch and DNS leak protection. There's a genuinely free plan, and KEN Pro for people who want more.

How do I install and set up KEN VPN?

Download KEN VPN from the Google Play Store. Once it's installed, create an account or sign in, then tap connect. The app walks you through granting the VPN permission on first use, and after that you're protected in a single tap.

How do I sign in?

You can create an account or sign in with your email address and a password, or continue with Google. Your KEN account keeps your plan and preferences in sync, so signing in on a new device picks up where you left off.

Account and billing
Is the free plan actually free?

Yes, completely. KEN Free gives you one device, access to the global server pool and our no-logs promise at no cost, forever. Speeds are capped at around HD quality, and you only need to upgrade if you want more devices, full speed and every server.

What's the difference between the plans?

There are two plans. Free covers one device with unlimited data, speed-capped at around HD, and core protection. KEN Pro adds up to 10 devices, all 40 servers, full-speed 4K, kill switch, split tunnelling, multi-hop, advanced ad, tracker and scam blocking, and a dark web monitor. KEN Pro is £9.99/month, or £3.99/month billed annually (£47.88/year).

How many devices can I connect?

It depends on your plan. Free allows one device, and KEN Pro allows up to 10 simultaneous connections. You can review and manage your registered devices from the Account screen in the app.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through Google Play. Open the Google Play Store, then go to Subscriptions, choose KEN VPN and tap Cancel. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period. You can also reach subscription management from the Account screen in the app.

How do I delete my account?

You can request account deletion at kensecure.com/delete-account. This permanently removes your data from our servers. If you have an active subscription, cancel it through Google Play first so it doesn't renew.

Privacy and security
Does KEN VPN keep logs?

No. KEN VPN operates under a strict no-logs policy. We don't monitor, record or store your browsing activity, connection timestamps, IP addresses or DNS queries. There's nothing to hand over because we never collect it. You can read the detail in our privacy policy.

What is the kill switch?

The kill switch blocks all internet traffic if the VPN connection ever drops unexpectedly, so your real IP address is never exposed for even a moment. You can enable it from the Security Dashboard in the app.

What is split tunnelling?

Split tunnelling lets you choose which apps route through the VPN and which connect directly. It's handy for banking apps or local services that don't play nicely over a VPN. Split tunnelling is available on KEN Pro.

Troubleshooting
Why is my connection slow?

Try switching to a server closer to your physical location from the Servers tab. You can also run a Speed Test from the tools section to measure your connection. Remember that KEN Free is speed-capped at around HD, so upgrading to Pro unlocks full-speed, uncapped connections.

I can't connect. What should I do?

First check that the internet works without the VPN. Then try a different server from the Servers tab, toggle the VPN off and on, or restart the app. Most connection issues clear once you switch to a nearby server. If it keeps happening, check current service status below and get in touch.
